Synopsis:
Cats were lonely, selfish creatures. At least, that was all this cat had ever known in the fantastical, magical, and cat-despising land of Eragul… and he was fine with that. Disgruntled townsfolk? —Avoided. Daily sustenance? —Handled… mostly…
But now, he had a problem.
After receiving strange yet sage advice from an unknown voice, the feline must choose whether or not to take the ultimate plunge for a cat— to give up his independence as a stray and become the housecat for Eragul’s highest ranking socialite family…
But as the world he built for himself starts to crumble around him, he has to make a choice; but is giving himself up to the possibility of love and belonging is worth the risk of heartbreak and pain…

Synopsis:
Racism, dysfunctionality, and women’s rights: all of these hard-to-discuss topics are not only discussed, but enveloped in the voice of a passionate narrator. The poems provide a glimpse into the life of an African American woman—a viewpoint that has been historically silenced. Her voice now comes to life in this poetry collection that aims to define her place, purpose and persistence in our current society. Relatable and insightful, the unnamed narrator invites you to walk with her through poems of uncertainty, defiance… and hope.
With labeled poems and a poem glossary, this collection aims to provide knowledge and clarity for those new to poetry, while conveying the artful elements expected of thoughtful poems.
