Sensa and Sensibility
Sensa is more than just a housecat. She is the best mouser in all of Sussex, and she makes sure that her humans Elinor, Marianne, and Margaret Dashwood never forget how wonderful she is. However, when the girls’ father passes away, new people advance into her dwelling uninvited, forcing her human family to leave. Suddenly she is faced with a choice: stay with this new couple in the place and status she loves or relinquish it all to stay with her beloved Dashwood family. With the help of a rascally yet charming purebred Burmese and a well-mannered barn cat, will Sensa be able to make sense of this mess and fix the mistakes her humans have made, or will she lose herself to the sensibilities of a romance she never saw coming?
SENSA AND SENSIBLLITY is a romance novel with a speculative perspective that cat lovers are sure to enjoy. This Austen adaptation novel is filled with the elements of the regency romance genre that Jane Austen was known for. This novel is purr-fect for those who love Austen’s Sense and Sensibility as well as Alan Hiro Arikawa’s The Traveling Cat Chronicles.

Each step Katherine took was a moment back through the ancient remembrances held captive inside physical tomes, waiting to be revealed. The library itself was old and worn in a way that was impossible to recreate. At least, none of the other vintage buildings in the busy town were anything like it. Tall, looming bookcases towered over her in a way that should have been threatening, but instead was awe-inspiring to her bibliophile soul. As she continued walking, the red and green carpet made no sound, but told its stories through the many stains the cascaded over its worn fabric…” (Scott).
